John McCullagh (he| him)

John, who lives with HIV, has worked and volunteered in the HIV and 2SLGBTQ+ health sectors for many years, including on the boards of CATIE and the Ontario AIDS Network. In 1981, he co-founded the social services organization now known as David Kelley Services, which provides counselling and support services to the 2SLGBTQ+ community and to those living with and affected by HIV. He subsequently went on to found the Out and Proud program at the Children’s Aid Society of Toronto, which ensures that child welfare services in the city are open, inclusive, and affirming of 2SLGBTQ+ youth and their families. Now retired after several years as a policy analyst with the Ontario Public Service, John brings a lifetime of advocacy and community leadership on HQ’s board of directors.
