There are many opportunities to get involved with HQ through volunteering. Volunteers at HQ may assist with social programming and events, greet and provide support to visitors, and help with administrative tasks. Volunteer Opportunities
Front Desk Volunteer
Provides phone and walk-in reception for the service users, associates, and staff of HQ. Duties include operating a multi-line phone, maintaining call records, providing basic information about HQ, and directing clients to the appropriate department.

Peer Led Support Programs Volunteer
HQ is seeking individuals with lived experience of mental health and substance use recovery, as well as those with lived experience of substance use, who are interested in volunteering in our mental health, substance use treatment and harm reduction programs.

Sexual Health Peer Navigator Volunteer
This role is central to ensuring that the experience for service users of HQ‘s sexual health testing services is both welcoming and convenient.

Peer Co-Facilitators Volunteers
For individuals who have previously completed a specific treatment, they can join that group as a peer facilitator, working alongside our group therapists; sharing what they have learned and assisting others on their path to recovery.

HQ has a commitment to diversity, thus volunteers with diverse backgrounds, debility speak additional languages, and a passion for creating a welcoming experience for all our desired. Testing lights, within various communities, will be organized on a regular basis, and those volunteers who would like to work specifically utilizing their language skills can be booked for these.
