HQ’s mission is to provide sexual health and social support services for cisgender men into men and two-spirit individuals, including many non-documented newcomers to Canada. We offer daily HIV and STI testing, serving an average of 170 clients, with peaks over 210, primarily through word-of-mouth referrals. This approach allows for early diagnosis and same-day treatment, improving health outcomes and reducing transmission risks.
HQ has also cut the time from HIV testing to treatment initiation from 12 business days to just 24 hours. As demand grows, collaboration is essential.
What kind of services will HQ offer?
HQ provides fast, innovative STI and HIV testing and treatment in a discreet, stigma-free environment. Private self-swabbing facilities empower clients to manage their sexual health quickly and confidently.
Cisgender men who are into men, along with two-spirit, transgender, and AMAB non-binary individuals, face higher rates of mental health issues due to trauma, stigma, and isolation. HQ prioritizes mental health care to support well-being and build a resilient, inclusive community.
As a community hub, HQ offers welcoming group rooms for cis men into men, two-spirit, trans, and AMAB non-binary individuals. Events like book clubs, art nights, and coffee socials foster connection and creativity.
Missing Results / Prescriptions?
Results will be available 1-2 business days after your visit, while syphilis testing may take 10-14 days as it’s sent to Public Health Ontario. If you haven’t received your results after 2 business days, please click the button below to access the OceanMD secure portal and fill out the form. You’ll need to provide your health card number; if you have an HQ card, use that instead.
PrEP prescriptions will be available 1 business day after your visit. If your pharmacy hasn’t received it after 1 business day, click the button below to fill out the form on the OceanMD secure portal, again using your health card or HQ card number.
